Smart Prop Trader affords all traders up to a 1:30 trading margin on all challenges, unless the trader has chosen to customize their challenge at the time of purchase with up to 1:100 Leverage. Having additional leverage can certainly be advantageous in certain trading scenarios and some traders can benefit from extra leverage depending on their specific trading style and specified trading instruments. Please note that due to the nuances of various trading terminals, 1:100 Leverage is exclusive to cTrader and Match-Trader trading terminals and not currently available to DXtrade trading terminal.

Without the Balance-Based Drawdown add-on, SPT affords traders a Balance & Equity based drawdown for both Standard Challenges and Pro Challenges wherein the drawdown at the end of the trading day (5PM EST) is calculated based on the balance or equity, whichever is greater when the day changes. Traders who choose to add Balance-Based Drawdown to the challenge they choose for their trading journey will only have to focus on managing drawdown impacting their Balance at the end of the trading day as opposed to managing both balance and equity simultaneously.

Balance-Based Drawdown can be significantly advantageous to traders in this regard as it's one less element (i.e., Equity) to consider throughout your trading journey. In turn, this can free up cognitive resources so traders can focus solely on trading strategies that giveaway to the greatest gains to their available balance without worrying about how their equity or balance will be impacted by the end of the trading day. Instead of managing both balance and equity drawdown, focus solely on your Balance at the end of each trading day.
